Greetings/News
A wild and woolly welcome to all you amazing Creative Multipreneurs. If you are looking for articles, tools, resources and book referrals to assist you on your journey in redesigning a life that encompasses your many passions and interests, and you don't want to pawn the family silver to do so, you are in the right place.
In the first three issues of this ezine in 2008, I offered articles and resources on capturing your dreams on paper and organizing those ideas and goals in order to move into a workable action plan. I hope you are on your way to acknowledging and achieving some of those items on your list. You may or may not have noticed that the tools suggested are very affordable. The title of the following article is the credo for my work and this ezine. Enjoy!

Featured Article - Life ReDesign on a Dime
I admit that I am a bit of an HGTV junkie. For those that don't know about HGTV, it is a cable television station here in the U.S. featuring home and garden/property improvement shows. I especially love the shows where they go in and fix up a room or two on a low budget, often re-purposing items the homeowner already has and it turns out looking great. One of my favorite shows is called Design on a Dime. Of course the designers are equipped with top of the line power tools to build or re-purpose furniture and other projects, yet there is still this sense of great value added for little damage to the budget. Creative problem solving at its best.
We all would like to know how to redesign our homes, businesses and lives without breaking the bank. When I conducted a survey of the readers of this ezine last May, one of the questions I asked under the section titled Problems and Challenges was "What stops you from getting started on designing a multipreneurial life for yourself?" Below are the multiple choices and you could pick more than one:
- Choosing a business (or businesses)
- Determining my target market
- Lack of money
- Lack of business knowledge
- Timing
- Age
- Physical condition
- Lack of support from family and/or friends
- Fear of losing health insurance and other benefits
- Fear of failure
- Fear of success
- Limiting beliefs
The top choice was "Lack of money." For the curious, it was followed by "Choosing a business (or businesses)" and then "Limiting beliefs." The lowest vote getters were "Age" and "Physical condition."
Note: I offered an article only to those who participated in the survey that addresses the above obstacles. If you would like a copy, send me an email and I will send it to you.
Redesigning your life does not necessarily require boatloads of cold hard cash. There are many free and low-cost tools that you might already possess in your toolbox, such as: creativity, ingenuity, passion, love of learning, persistence, flexibility and a strong support team in place. Also, your skills, experience, knowledge and natural talents. For what you don't already know there are books, videos or dvds, live teleclasses, audio recordings of teleseminars and business counseling in your local SBA (U.S. Small Business Association) office.
As I ferret out these tools, resources and ideas for redesigning your life on a dime, I will gladly share them with you here. Since I am a results coach for creative multipreneurs, you may also find me cheering you on and encouraging you to go for the gold!
Warmly,
Susan

Barbara Winter is the entrepreneur's best friend. She is the author of Making a Living Without a Job: Winning Ways for Creating Work That You Love, which hit my local bookstore's shelves in 1993 and hit me smack in the noggin with a wake-up call. I could even say it changed my life. I could be "joyfully jobless," too. I pick up my dog-eared copy often for inspiration, ideas and a kick in the butt, when needed.
Barbara conducts seminars in various cities in the U.S. and Canada throughout the year. And the good news is she also offers teleclasses occasionally. I've taken some and they are so packed with information and idea ticklers it makes me itchy with excited anticipation just telling you about it.
She is offering three in March: I Hate Marketing! (Mar. 6th); A Dozen Ways to Build Your Expert Status (Mar. 10th); and if you are ready to explore money blocks and learn how to build multiple profit centers, sign up for Beyond the $100 Hour (Mar. 11th). http://www.barbarawinter.com/teleclasses.htm
Barbara was an interview guest in issue 17 of this ezine March 5, 2007. Check it out: http://www.susanhenderson.com/030507.html
